× In 2026, the EAA is spotlighting the "Class of 1946" postwar boom aircraft. Since so many of our Ercoupes were manufactured in 1946 this is a natural fit for the club.

I am based in West Memphis, AR. KAWM is the identifier. Willing to fly any direction around 200 or so miles one way. Rather avoid Class C and B airspace. Not aware of any fly-in’s yet for 2026. Sounds like fun. Always good to have a mission.

The Ercoupers in the Pacific Northwest are an active bunch, with strong ties to our friends in ID, CA NV and MT. I'm based at Sunriver (S21) near the center of Oregon... I would propose that Tracy Koberstein could take a hand-off from Idaho, taking it through his base at Walla Walla, Washington to Madras, Oregon (site of 2027 EOC Nationals), and I can take the flag to Lakeview, Oregon for a Nevada hand-off and on to California!
We have fly-ins annually in July through October.... and any venue can be included.
Each of the legs mentioned are about 200 nm.

Keep us posted,

Chuck Rosenfeld, Region 3 Director

Bill - Thanks for the information!

I'm hangared at KESN Easton, MD. Maybe I'll see you at a handoff. I submitted an article about the relay to Coupe Capers, so we'll see how much interest gets stirred up.

What an interesting concept and endeavor.

I am based at two airports. I have a hangar at Salisbury. Maryland (KSBY) and a leased tie-down on the ramp at Delaware Coastal (KGED) in Georgetown, DE. I consider GED my "home" airport because I live in Delaware and like this GA airport a lot. (My wife likes the restaurant in the terminal.)

I would be comfortable flying 100-125 miles (or so). That puts me in range of Virginia's Eastern Shore, southern Maryland Like Harford County (0W3) or maybe even York, PA (KTHV), and southern New Jersey, such as Ocean City, NJ (26N).

Sadly, I am not planning to attend any "events" this coming year.
