Hello , Do I service the strut with 5606 the usual way by getting the air bubbles out of the strut, or do I simply add 5606 to the strut without doing any of that? Thanks.

Can anyone recommend someone who can rebuild/overhaul a Ercoupe Model 415 forked nose gear strut - hopefully close to Livermore CA? It was rebult once before but still leaks so I would like a specialist to take a look at it.

call Vernon Greggory @ Skyport 803-360-2061. He sells new & used parts. He sells Univair parts/same prices as Univair.

He sold me everything to rebuild all 3 gear on my aircraft. The mains are pretty straightforward. He made sure I had everything and walked me through rebuilding the nose-gear.

Looks like a pre war Ercoupe. I would contact Kevin English or Kevin Gassert, they are experts on low serial number Ercoupes. You can find them in the club registry in the FILES area of this site.
