2007 Ercoupe Owners Club National Convention Wayne, NE If you did not get to Wayne, NE for the National Fly-In, then you missed out! Scott and Jean Morgan had been planning this event for several years and all the attention to detail paid off. To begin with there were several very interesting tours of local industries and a planetarium show on Thursday. On Friday there was a FREE dinner at the field and afterward a car show, musical entertainment and to top it off home made ice cream made with an old John Deer hit and miss engine. There was a carnival like atmosphere with the town's people invited. The food was great, the entertainment great and everyone just had a swell time. The one thing that stands out in my mind was the laid back attitude that prevailed. I saw more planes flying than at any convention we have had in a long time. There were lots of buddy rides and flying of Young Eagles and just plane fun. One of the highlights of this years convention was the Weick family who were all there including several cousins. The Weicks have become a part of our functions and we had missed them at the last several conventions. Several of them even got rides in Coupes while they were there. I will not try to caption all of the photos as most are of planes, but will update the site later when I can get Carolyn's pictures. She took people photos and I took planes. So keep checking for updates. -Skip-
