Thursday, June 20

Arrival day -- 4:00 p.m. fly-out to 51G - Brighton Airport   A flight to check out this new Brighton Airport and meet Pete and Lorraine Sheppard, Airport Manager, and sign the airport register.  We are very proud that the Brighton Airport Association was able to save this airport.

 

Friday, June 21

Lee from Skyport arrives - He'll have a display table and will answer questions until Sunday.

Kalamazoo Air Museum & WACO factory tour

May fly and park on the ramp near museum and factory -- weather briefing at breakfast!!
For museum: $8/person    Bus: $7/person (leaves at 8:30 a.m. from EAA bldg.
We have a 10:00 a.m. tour at Kalamazoo Museum and a 2:00 p.m. tour at the Waco factory.  A $6 box lunch will be served at the luncheon area at the Kalamazoo Museum at 12-noon (which is also next to the gift shop.

The bus will leave at 1:30 p.m. from the Air Museum for the Waco factory.  The bus will leave from the Waco factory for Mason-Jewett at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Bar-B-Que dinner, $10/person (The EAA #55 tells us this Bar-B-Que is "To-Die-For."

 

Saturday, June 22

"Airport Security" seminar by the FAA - 9:30 a.m. - hangar room

A Historical Tour of Mason - "A Walk through Time" with Judy Lamphere -- Vans leave from EAA building at 10:30 a.m.  Lunch in town (your choice - Cayenne Grill or Bookstore).  After lunch, a walk of 1/2 mile to Mason Antiques District.  Vans pick you up at Courthouse at 3:00 p.m.

EOC Board of Directors Meeting - 2:00 p.m. - hangar room

Banquet -- Get-together at 5:00 p.m. with dinner at 6:00 p.m.

 

Sunday, June 23

Weather briefing at breakfast!

Maintenance seminar - John Wright, Sr. - 9:30 a.m. - EAA building

Church service - 10:30 a.m. - hangar room

Skyport - Lee will have a display table from sometime on Friday through Sunday. He'll be available to answer questions and help Coupers any way he can.

There will be speakers at each evening meal.  

Thursday night - June 20 = Bob Staight (Ohio Wing Leader for Region 13) will do "A Clown's point of view."

Friday night - to be announced.

Saturday night - June 22 = Gary & Judy Lamphere (Judy is Ron Jewett’s sister & has been a great help with Nationals with her knowledge of Mason, MI). They will be Talking on "The Jewett airport history & Ron Jewett/EOC".

Michigan State Apartments - Van Hoosen Hall - three people per apartment - air-conditioned - $33.00/night.  Call Wendy Anderson at 517-355-5068 for reservations before May 20th.  Please mention the Ercoupe Owners Club when reserving and pay at registration as Michigan State would like to bill us one bill

Hebs Inn - (2 miles from airport)  Regular size beds: $55 per night for 2 people and $10 extra for extra people.  Call ASAP and mention Ercoupe Owners Club.  Transportation provided.

Days Inn - $49 per night for King size or Double. 517-393-1650.  Ask for "Sunny" and mention Ercoupe Owners Club.  Must make reservations by June 5.

Holiday Inn South - Single or Double $89. Three, etc.  800-333-8123 or 517-694-8123.  MUST mention Ercoupe Owners Club and MUST reserve by May 20th.  Transportation provided.
